BIMA, Indonesia — The Department of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR) at STKIP Taman Siswa Bima has once again demonstrated its growing presence on the international academic stage. The institution was appointed as a Co-Host for the 3rd International Physical Education Conference (IPEC), organized by the PJKR Department of STKIP Pasundan Cimahi, held from October 23–24, 2025.

The two-day conference brought together leading global scholars in the field of physical education, including Prof. Justin A. Haegele, Ph.D. (United States), Assoc. Prof. Shinici Nagata, Ph.D. (Japan), and Dr. Haziyanti binti Mohammad Khalid (Malaysia) as keynote speakers.

According to Dr. Rabwan Satriawan, Head of the PJKR Department, the institution’s role as Co-Host reflects a continuation of its academic collaboration with STKIP Pasundan Cimahi, established in 2024.

“This collaboration provides a valuable platform for our lecturers and students to engage in international academic discourse. Beyond strengthening academic capacity, it also introduces Bima’s cultural heritage to the global community,” he said.

The conference marked a significant milestone for STKIP Taman Siswa Bima in expanding its international research and publication network. Future initiatives are set to include joint research projects, faculty exchanges, and the development of internationally co-authored textbooks grounded in local wisdom.

The 3rd IPEC carried the spirit of cross-border collaboration to advance inclusive, research-based sports and physical education. This year’s theme emphasized the integration of culture, technology, and innovation in physical education within a rapidly globalizing world.

For the academic community in West Nusa Tenggara, the participation of STKIP Taman Siswa Bima’s faculty members at this prestigious event is a source of pride. It not only strengthens the institution’s national standing but also demonstrates that regional academic potential can meaningfully contribute to global scholarly conversations.
